A friend recently told us us they maximized the number of solar panels on their not huge suburban home. This takes care of needs for the home, and for charging the new Toyota EV.
I agree on your points about retail and other issues etc. Tech likes to refer to all of these companies as tech companies, but they are in other sectors, with tech platform distribution systems. Without gazillions in VC, most wouldn't exist.
EV going nowhere? Well in France it works. After 4000 uninterrupted kilometres of driving enjoyment - mapped, and directed by FastNed, etc - I’d suggest a socialist gvt with true Keynesian policies. In this instance, super fast chargers (300kw), in clean shaded zones, even screen cleaners, with a 100% success rate! Sometimes change achievements require a centralised umphh to get it done properly. Ask Mr N Armstrong. Miss you.
